Noche de Parranda

This is the typical Mexican Mariachi, happy with himself, and drinking, but not alcohol. That makes him interesting.

Este es el tipico Mariachi Mexicano, feliz con el mismo, y tomando, pero sin alcohol. Eso es lo que
lo hace interesante.

Isolation or Fragmantation

This drawing represents the harsh division between the indigenous class in Mexico and the rest of the society. A typical farm woman is looking outside the window and you can see the outside reflected on the mirror.

El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant, Grand Junction, Colorado

This is the logo for El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant. I was looking to give the restaurant an image that would reflect the richness found in the culture of the area of Jalisco, Mexico. The logo has a laid back style, combined with a personalized image of the restaurant's founder. The rope around the icon reflects the typical colors of the flag, red, white and green. And the big sombrero, shirt and handkerchief complete the style.

Gabrielas Mexican Restaurant

This is the process of how I created the logo for Gabrielas Mexican Restaurant in Delta, Colorado.
The place is very well known by it's great service and food, so I had to think about how to make a logo that would reflect both.

The owner is always there and she is very popular among the people, so I had to grab some of her personality to create something unique that serve the purpose.
I took several pictures of her and started by sketching out some ideas of how to use the Mexican Style, especially from the center of Mexico
mixed with the personal Gabriela's style.
